Tia Mowry Divorcing Husband Cory Hardrict
Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict have announced their split after 14 years of marriage. Tia released the statement on October 4. She mentioned that to share, she and Cory have decided to go their separate ways. She advised that these decisions are never easy and not without sadness. She would be maintaining the friendship as she would co-parent their beautiful children. Tia also added that she is grateful for their happy times together. She also thanked her friends, family, and fans for their love and support as she started a new chapter moving forward in her life.
Both cited the reason for irreconcilable differences as the reason for separation in their divorce paper. She had also requested legal and physical joint custody of their children. Both of them have two beautiful children. They have a son named Cree, who is 11 years old, and a daughter Cairo who is four years old. She has also asked to terminate the court’s ability to award spousal support citing the premarital agreement. She had updated about this on her post on Instagram.
Tia had first met Cory when he had appeared on the 1996 episode of the series “Sister, Sister.” Both of them started dating in 2000. Tia then wrapped up her popular sitcom with twin Tamera Mowry. Cory, at that time, was trying to break out in Hollywood and also worked part-time as a K-Mart security guard.
The actor recalled the same and said that he was grinding then. He mentioned that he was waiting at the bus stop after he had shot his first film. Then Tia and her sister drove by, saw him waiting at the bus stop, and offered him the ride. He said he was embarrassed at that time as he was downtown, and they became friends post the same. He further said that the sisters took him to Inglewood, and that’s how the relationship started.
After eight years of dating, they tied the knot on April 20, 2008. In a romantic beach ceremony in Malibu, they also renewed their vows in 2013.
